Southmead Children's Centre strive to support children 0-5 and their families within the community.
Our outreach and parent involvement worker Carrie is available to support parents/carers or organise any form of alternative support which may be needed.
We provide the following courses/ sessions specifically for parents/carers:
- ESOL Course (Mon 9:30am-11:30am, Tues 1:00pm-3:00pm)
A basic English Language course for parents who have very little English language skills. (Childcare is provided)
- Personal Development Course (Weds 1:00pm-3:00pm)
A 6 week course to develop self confidence, positive thinking, self reflection, mindfulness and self care. (Childcare) is provided.
- CV Workshop (Weds 1:00pm-3:00pm) 6th & 13th March
A 2 part workshop to identify your skills and strengths, plus build a CV. (Childcare is provided)
- MEND Mums (Thurs 9:30am-11:00am)
A 6 week course of exercise and nutrition advice for mums with babies 0-6 months. (Childcare is provided)
- Parent's Space (Tues 10:45am-12:15pm)
Here you can get involved in the decisions and development of the Children's Centre and take part in workshops and speakers on specific topics. (Childcare is provided) (Places to be booked at reception.)
